Elevate!. Inspire!.. Collaborate!.. Implement!..
Just listen! This is the heartbeat of the Sixth Annual Silicon Valley Positive Aging Forum. That's why... this year's Forum, "Design Challenge: Aging-in-Place, Silicon Valley," will facilitate hands-on experience to meet the real-life challenges and opportunities for positively aging-in-place.
In addition to learning from dynamic subject matter experts with unique perspectives, Forum participants will acquire a cutting edge design skill from IDEO, the globally recognized design firm. Using this new tool at the conference, they will construct collaborative solutions that empower and support older adults. Then our newly-empowered participants will take this process back to address challenges in their own organizations, thereby enriching all sectors of the community.
The need for expansive thinking and collaboration in positive aging is growing daily. With a tidal-wave of Baby Boomers seeking ways to remain in their homes and communities, there is a growing demand for the support and services they want today and for the future. Civic governments are urged to respond to their older citizens; dwindling budgets and resources inspire new areas of teamwork and cross-sector partnerships. Together with other community leaders, Forum participants will contribute their expertise and insights to construct exciting workable solutions that empower and support older adults.
